Elephant Adventure

Educational Interactions

More than just a "touch and feed” activity, the comprehensive interactions aim for each of our visitors to experience, acutely, the intellect and warmth of the gentle giants.

Imagine watching an elephant in the wild, or even on television. Now try imagining what the skin feels like, or the tongue, or the surprisingly soft sole of the foot. How about the unique smells? Or the sound of an elephant rumble. Imagine all this whilst experiencing how relaxed, caring and intelligent these animals really are. The unique hands-on interactions allow you to stop imagining and really get to know elephants better. The qualified, experienced and friendly elephant handlers will introduce you to each of our seven elephants, Mussina, Shan, Nuanedi, Chishuru, Chova, Bela and Zambezi  and show you remarkable aspects of each individual and of the species as a whole.

You will enjoy a close, personal and safe encounter with the gentle giants under shade on soft mats for comfort learning about elephants from tail tip to trunk tip and everything between, experience first hand an elephant's intelligence through to how acute its sense of smell is, you'll experience their gentle nature as well as the stimulating levels of trust and companionship that can be developed between elephant and man. Take part in allowing an elephant to remember your name or identify you by your scent. Through playful methods, we guarantee you a day of inspiration and the start of a lifetime love for the African Elephant and for wildlife.

“It’s easier to protect wildlife if you care about it.
It’s easier to care about it if you understand it.
It’s easier to understand it, if you can experience it closely and safely. ”
— Sean Hensman

Basic Itinerary

Each Bush Camp is unique and differ from the one to the other as we explore other adventures.  We will be up early, even before sunrise waking up to a new dawn.  At midday we will be relaxing during the heat of the day.  Then, in the afternoon, we will be out in the bush again experiencing the magnificent sunsets the wilderness can give and listen to the call of nocturnal fauna awakening.

DAY 1:

At 12:00 we meet our guests at a pre-defined pickup point and head off as group towards the camp site where we will take time to pitch our tents and settle in.  As the afternoon cools down we embark on a short walk and enjoy a sundowner in the bush.  After sunset we return back to camp to prepare for dinner.

DAY 2 and 3:

We will be up before sunrise enjoying a cup of coffee and rusks and a morning walk in the bush with our dedicated Guides returning back to camp at approximately 11:00 and prepare for brunch after which we will relax during the heat of the day.
After a late afternoon walk and sundowner we return back to camp before dark where we prepare for dinner and relax around the camp fire.

DAY 4:

Up early once again enjoying a short walk from camp, return back to camp for a light breakfast and after saying our Good Byes we leave the camp by 10:00 heading back home
